I plan on buying GT5 when it is released..but will only play online if they allow you to host private servers.

I prefer pc games but have always been drawn to the turismo series.
This one looks very good

Just always seems to have just a nice balance of arcade / sim more bias towards arcade but it works. Buying the cars drives you to play it and then beef them up.

I have always owned playstation and never felt the need for xbox..I have tried forza2 on my m8's but struggled with controller configuration...I just had no control as the button layout felt alien compared to ps gaming.

I just bought a 32" Sony for my gaming pc so I might move the ps3 to the pc and then I can use the wheel and pedals, hoping that ps3 finds speed 7's ok ??

I moved my ps3 to my pc area and tried the G25 but ps3 didn't seem to be able to find the speed 7's which are bolted down so not easy to swap.

Have any of you speed 7 owners found a way of fixing this? Dom

The g25's should work! I think the pedals in it are quite good

Moi moi,

Thanks, well I do try .. probably need to try a lot more too than Bastien

But it is very nice to see the pace you guys from this side of the genre run in the game I'm most familiar with. Always have had the interest for iRacing & etc but so far things just haven't been happening. Hopefully someday I get it done .

And the forum looks very nice too btw

Hi Timppaq

Welcome here and congrats for your time too !

You know, GT5 is very different from PC games like iRacing, and with guys as quick as you, it's not easy to be in top3

Hi Learner!

Congratz for your time as well! Luckily a few days still to go to get a few more tries, but with these times being on the board already, there's not that much room anymore to find (for me at least)..

Good luck in the comp anyway, even if it isn't needed that much for you

(btw, I just saw Take did a .4 with the red one now.. - not that much mistakes in that lap anymore I bet)

Hopefully I'll get the cash for a new computer soon, but can't guarantee that. But surely I'm very interested.

I tried that GT5 time trial and came 90th in the UK rankings on the tuned car, i never bothered with the none tuned car as i didn't have time

GT5 is a whole lot more easier than PC racing sims i find, setup and wheel config are so important as well as your PC in general, a bad frame rate or response time from a controller and you've had it! I can't wait for GT5 though, it will be one huge virtual garage for me!

I'm looking forward to GT5 as well, I wish they would make it more sim like, especially with damage and reduce the grip levels!

Agreed, a better tyre model has been in need since GT3. Fuel usage, component failures, realistic damage, better sounds (i dont know why but they always seem weak) and last but not least a more customisable way to set your wheel up.

I was a Forza Racer from Forza 1 to 3. But now i wanna move up to PC racing were there are true simulators. Forza was really only fun for taking pictures. The racing didn't feel that real at all.

I was probably best known for my pictures. Winning a lot of photo comps.

Very few of my photos.
