Hi I recently started playing iRacing and love it.
There are still wreckers that come from 3-4th place and want to get inside you from a mile behind as you careful approach T1 at Laguna in 1st place, but I'm at the beginning and know this will change. Had some great races too with some gentlemen drivers.
First day at Laguna in the rookie Solstice I managed 1.49.8 and know it can go lower as I saw some guys doing 48' mid-high. I realized I'm trail braking too much in some corners but I corrected that.
My question is what FOV do you use for a single monitor rig?
I noticed that if I have a smaller FOV I am confident and can enter curves faster. But the line is sometimes not good. If I play with higher FOV (now 85) I can have a better line but I'm somehow more careful on the entry and I feel I can do much better.
It's a meter of perception and it makes a big difference.
Thank you.
Btw I'm Cristian Rus.
