Greger, you plan on sharing your truck setups? Looks like you are getting the sets pretty good by your qualifying times.

Hey guys, been using your setups for a while and have thanked Greger before on the servers but would also like to do so here where everyone can see.

It would be really cool if you could post some of your truck setups, as being a European I don't really have anything to compare my setups to, so have no idea even if I am in the ballpark.

If not for any reason, any chance you would be willing to look at mine and tell me if a I am in the ballpark and B any suggestions on how to solve the problems I have been having.

Yeah I really want to thank Greger for his sets as well. I ran all of his Legends sets and I still use his Late Model set at Martinsville. I am messing around a little in the garage now, biggest issue is finding enough time to get one that is fast.

It is real great when the fast guys share their sets and lap video's. Really makes it easier for the rest of us to see what we do wrong and how to improve our lap times.

Thanks again,

Bill

I'll have a look at posting something tomorrow. :)

In the meanwhile, everyone feel free to go crazy and donate (http://www.teamredline.co.uk/donate.php). :thumbup1::w00t::confused:

Thanks Arron, it's appreciated. :) I sent you a PM.

I'm going to post my Phoenix setup later tonight.

Ok, posted the Phoenix setups (http://www.teamredline.co.uk/download.php?dlcat=setups&sim=iRacing&mod=Chevrolet%20Silverado&track=All).

For Milwaukee I used the Sim-Chassis setup and started working from there... changed it quite a lot. The qual setup is pretty fast, I've run a 28.21 with it. The race setup could be improved I'm sure, I changed some settings from qual to make it driveable and that's it.

The way I keep the truck from pushing is to either be on the brake or the throttle so try to avoid coasting too much.

Thanks Greger, won forst time out with it, quite a tough race lots of door banging and close racing don't think anyone came out of it with + SR but it was one of those races where it was clean just tough.

Anyway thanks again

Added Bristol setups (http://www.teamredline.co.uk/download.php?dlcat=setups&sim=iRacing&mod=Chevrolet%20Silverado&track=Bristol).

In qual I just run max psi on the right side. Not sure if the pressures in the race setup are optimal... I'm sure there's room for improvement in there with more testing. The setup was originally too tight in the race I ran so I made it looser by decreasing the RR spring perch setting. Hopefully not too much. :)

Thanks will give it another try. Is there a specific reason for using 58 % front brake bias? Seems rather high? Normally were in the 50 - 52 % range?

I haven't worked on it yet this week. I'll do some testing later but I'll probably run pretty much the setup that I've posted... unless I find something new in it that suddenly makes me muchos faster. :) The race setup could use more work than the qual one but it ran ok in the race I did a few weeks ago.

The brake bias feels fine to me but I haven't really tried going lower.

Greger forget everything I said.

From the first race on I took your set I could drive at the front, and I wasnt even pushing, had some bad luck towards the end sometimes but always stay upfront, and the setup is so good for longruns, and I won a Race. Im not fast with it but I can really stay in the groove with it, it conserves tires very well, but most of all it makes alot of fun to drive. I never had so much fun in the iRacing Truck, I always thought that is one weird car, but with this setup on this track I was always smiling during the race, just brake and gas a little bit into the corner, then the tyres start to stick, really nice, then you can really feel when the grip is coming to you and you wheel it out of the corners. Really nice.

Only thing I changed was Front brake bias to 52.

Yeah, maybe later. ;)

Shifting down to 3rd for the turns seems better at Martinsville, did a 19.8 that way pretty easily.
